As the seller, you have options when it comes to listing your property and how compensation is handled in the transaction. While buyers may have agreements in place with their agents regarding compensation, your Listing Agreement will outline the terms and compensation structure you agree to with Aloha Sotheby’s International Realty. Fees are negotiable, and the following scenarios outline the options available to you.

Seller Paid Compensation

  • Prior to listing your home, you can agree to allocate a percentage of the sale price to the buyer’s brokerage.
  • Alternatively, you can wait until you receive an offer. If the offer conditions the purchase on compensation to the buyer’s brokerage, you can agree to compensate them at that time.

BUYER PAID Compensation

  • You can choose not to offer compensation to the buyer’s brokerage, in which case the buyer will be responsible for covering the fee.
